In the grand scheme of home improvement, spending a little extra on quality towels is a drop in the bucket compared to remodeling. New towels are just a really simple way to transform a bathroom. These have certainly added a touch of elegance and luxury to our bathroom with their ribbed texture and simple, non-decorated borders. These are a lovely, medium-dark shade of gray. If "warm" and "elegant" were shades of gray, these towels would fit the description. Our bathroom is painted a pale shade of green with a dark gray (almost black) accent wall and these towels are a perfect contrast to both. They are very absorbent, and feel wonderful on my hands. Soft and fluffy. These look rather thin when they arrive, and are wrapped in plastic. I immediately placed them in the laundry. No soap, just 1 cup of white vinegar. These were initially washed on a hot water setting with an extra rinse cycle. After they went through the wash, I put them in the dryer on medium heat. I ran the dryer multiple times, cleaning the lint trap each time, until a minimal amount of lint was left after the cycle was done. For these towels, this took 3 cycles. I do these for all my new towels. This makes them more absorbent, fluffs them up, softens them, and keeps them from leaving lint everywhere when you first use them or wash them with other items. Wikihow has some good instructions on washing new towels here:[...]Towels-More-Absorbent__________________I take my reviews pretty seriously, and try to make them as helpful as possible. Wikihow has some good instructions on washing new towels here: [...]__________________I take my reviews pretty seriously, and try to make them as helpful as possible[...]I bought the set of 4 bath towels in grey for $39.99. They arrived quickly and just as pictured. The texture is soft and the overall look is classy and high quality thanks to the nice color and details provided by the ribbed material. They're NOT super thick- around a medium in thickness (personally I don't like super thick towels as they tend to take too long to dry and are too heavy). Absorbency wise, they're perfect. They work great for toweling off post-shower and feel soft on the skin.My dryer sucks so the fact that these dry in one cycle says a lot. They also don't wrinkle easily and hang well on the rack.Only time will gauge how durable they are but so far they held up beautifully through several washes without any fading, fraying/fuzzing or lint.I would recommend these to a friend looking to purchase towels in this price range. NOTE: I was at Nordstrom the other day and ran across identical towels (although a different brand). Even though they were on sale, the final cost was still nearly 75% more. PHOTO: These are paired with the white Bare Cotton hand towels with piano key detailing. (The checkered towels pictured are NOT related- they were some random gift so please disregard.)Very absorbant and durable. Been using same set for 5 yearsTowels have got to be one of the most frustrating internet purchases, how I imagine them versus how they actually are never seem to align. These are fairly decent towels but I have already managed to get a few pulls in them. My bad for wearing rings I guess. The towels are absorbent and well made. It has yet to bend my nails back as some fabric does when in my hand. That's a good thing. They are not as soft as I would have wanted but worthy of 5 stars.I purchased white which will of course stain easier than the coloured ones. The towels that arrived are not the ones I ordered and they are not returnable. I ordered 4 plush luxury towels and these are not what I ordered ... I am really disappointed! Not as described. Picture showed a ribbed type towel. Not even close but will keep because they clearly came from overseas and don't want to wait another month and a halfNever did receive after waiting 2 months. No explanation from supplier whatsoever. Will not attempt to buy again.
